Suttocide® A INCI: Sodium Hydroxymethylglycinate Description: Suttocide A is sold as a 50% aqueous solution of Sodium Hydroxymethylglycinate. The solution is a clear alkaline liquid with a mild characteristic odor. This single preservative is a broad spectrum and cost effective antimicrobial that is active against Gram-positive bacteria, Gram-negative bacteria, and mold. Suttocide A is unique in that it maintains its antimicrobial activity at a ph as high as 12. It can also be used to neutralize acidic compounds without any loss of antimicrobial activity. Usage: In shampoos use .1%-.3% and must be added prior to the addition of salt. May be added to systems 60 degrees celsius or lower. In hair conditioners: use .1%-.3%.
